December 17, 2023 — Electrify DC is proud to announce the creation of the Healthy Homes Fair, a yearly event that will propel the region towards cleaner, more sustainable buildings. The event is designed to increase awareness and know-how about the products and services needed to combat climate change while making our homes healthier and more comfortable. The inaugural edition of the Fair will take place at the DC Armory on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, from 9am to 5pm. RSVP to attend now!

The full-day event will feature 50+ exhibitors, and a fun and engaging program for homeowners and renters, home renovation professionals, and career seekers.

The interactive program of the Healthy Homes Fair will include cooking demonstrations, an appliance “petting zoo”, and much more. During the morning, the program will provide a variety of hands-on training and educational workshops in Spanish and English for home renovation professionals and real estate agents. In the afternoon the program will address the needs of homeowners and renters of all ages with fun activities and lots of learning about how to use our homes as tools to combat climate change and live more healthy and comfortable lives. Career seekers will be exposed to all the high-paying jobs needed to transition the regions’ homes to net zero over the next 20 years. 

Exciting state-of-the-art technologies and products showcased at the Fair include air heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, induction cooktops, heat pump dryers, solar applications, geothermal applications, battery storage, EV chargers, electric mobility, insulation, landscaping tools and much more. Service providers with a track record of helping homeowners and renters reduce emissions from our homes will be available to answer your questions on electric panel upgrades, solar installations, net zero energy construction, renewable energy credits, rebates at point of sales, tax credits, energy audits, measurements of emissions inside your homes, etc. 

The Fair is organized by Electrify DC, a leading nonprofit dedicated to making it easier, faster and more affordable to decarbonize our homes, in partnership with the DC Department of Energy and Environment, the DC Department of Buildings and local, regional, and national organizations working to eliminate emissions from our buildings.
